kelvyn colt candles

The magical Kelvyn and I met earlier this year and, yes, we poured candles!! Ever since, we've been collaborating on ideas for both his tour experience and  how to give back to the community he comes from. As I learned more about him, I found out that he is deeply inspired by Basquiat and all things related to him, so it seemed only natural team up with Patrick Church, a sensational artist and fashion designer with similar influences. After working with Patrick, we decided on the designs you see on the front-side of the candle.

The back of the candle has an explanation as to how we came up with the concept using a candle for causes as well as the scent it contains. The text reads,

"Fire is a chemical combustion that releases heat + light. The ability to control fire led to a dramatic change in the habits of early humans allowing them to cook, live in sterile environments, and to keep warm. Fire gives life. Like fire, water is an element needed to sustain life and ecosystems. The scent notes contained in the candle are reminiscent of sea salts, derived from the ocean.
The candle we have created embodies the relationship between these elements, fire and water, and reminds us that both are needed for survival.

With the purchase of this candle we can help others survive and thrive by gifting the proceeds to those who need it most. Fire and water are basic human rights, but the thing that distinguishes us as humans is the ability to use our resources to go above and beyond in responding to the needs of others. Help us do that by providing this gift to others less fortunate."

The charities we've chosen to send the profits of the candle sales to are:

We appreciate you taking the time to hear our story as well as to help those in need. Burn and be well- KC X FL
